MERRY CHRISTMAS, part 2

Ethan and Ava had so many gifts, that we had to space them out. Here are a few more pictures of them opening some gifts from some very loving family members!

Ethan's mom had a GeoSafari when she was little.
I think this one is a little updated. We have already been playing with it and he loves it. It is a great toy for him and right now it is great because he needs an adult to play it with him until he can figure out how to play with it independently.
He is also loving the shape muffins. He was going around that house handing out his "blueberry muffins"!
Again, thanks for everything. We hope you had a great holiday and we hope you have a happy new year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas Everyone! I tried to post this last night with a video, but it never happened. I am still trying to post videos. I have done it before, but I can't do it now for some reason.

We celebrated Christmas at our house with my parents, Ken and Sherry, and Uncle Robert. Aunt Mandy, Uncle Frank and their little baby, Olivia, were here as well. I just realized I forgot to take her picture; sorry Mandy. But, if you want to see baby Olivia's Christmas, I am sure you can check their blog.

It was a very successful Christmas for both Ethan and Ava. Ethan received a lot of great toys from all his grandparents, aunts and uncles! He was especially happy about his blue "Mack" truck from the Cars movie and a Handy Manny Motorcycle.

Ava received a toy cell phone from her Aunt Mandy and she had it with her most of the day. I hope this is not a sign of things to come. She was very cute when she was "talking" on the phone and saying, "Hello" and "Goodbye".
Their BIG gift was a toy kitchen and a number of accessories from family members. Ethan has already been cooking up meals for Catherine and me.

It was a great Christmas at the Kuehnle household. We hope that everyone else has a wonderful Christmas as well.

We wish a merry Christmas to all the McKelveys on the East Coast and southern Ohio as well as the rest of the Kuehnles in the Chicago area!

Please Welcome a New Baby

My twin sister, Amanda, and her husband Frank, welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their family this month. Ethan and I went to see her while she was still in the hospital. Ethan was sooooo excited to finally see the baby that was in Aunt Mandy's belly. Catherine and Ava went the next day to see the baby. Ava got a little jealous when Catherine held Olivia. Oh yeah, the baby's name is Olivia Lynn . For some reason, I was unable to attach any pictures at this time, but I'll try from another computer. If you would like to see the pictures and more info, please check out their website: http://www.koenigs-koenigfamily.blogspot.com/

Out of Order (for a short time)

Hello everyone! I am so sorry that you have not been able to check out our adorable children lately, but I have taken many pictures over the past month and even some video of Ava taking her first steps. I am not sure why I can not post them, but for some reason my computer will not read them from the little SanDisk drive I have. But if the problem persists, I will take them to another computer and get them up here on the blog.

Ava's first Spring Break.

Catherine bought this little dress in Mexico. Ava looked so beautiful in it and I am sure it will be a part of her wardrobe for quite some time. I have also included a picture of her by the pool on the boat. The pool was actually salt water and she did not enjoy being in the water. It was a small pool with about 40 kids playing in and around it. I did not include the picture of me holding her while she was crying.

And of course, here is a picture of our girl sleeping soundly. I think this little stuffed animals/blankets will be her "monkeys".

Our little own petting zoo!

Every night, after dinner, we would come back to our room to see a new towel animal on our beds. After the first night, we started to collect them so that we had our own little zoo by the time we left. Ethan was excited and a little scared at the same time; it was very cute to see him and talk about what animal we might see on our way back from dinner. I think the frog was his favorite.

Butterflies! Everywhere, there are butterflies!

I thought I would post the pictures of the butterflies first. Ethan had a fun time here. At first we were not sure how it would go because there were so many of them and one landed on a girl and she started to get upset. But, by the end our visit, Ethan was trying to catch one on his finger. He took a keen interest to one of the butterflies that was eating from a bowl of fruit that was layed out for them.
